If you’re driving from Denver, it’s about a 4.5-hour drive to Mount Crested Butte. You’ll want to take I-70 west to exit 205, then head south on CO-9 until you reach US-50. Take US-50 west through Gunnison until you reach the town of Crested Butte. From there, you can take Gothic Road up to Mount Crested Butte.

Flying:

The closest airport to Mount Crested Butte is the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC). It’s about a 30-minute drive from the airport to Mount Crested Butte. You can fly into GUC from several major cities in the US, including Denver, Dallas, and Chicago.
