Melanie Macartney

I grew up on the East coast outside of Washington D.C. I first came to Colorado as a teenager and had an unforgettable experience skiing powder. After finishing high school at the Mercersburg Academy and college at the University of Maryland, College Park, I hopped in the car and drove West. I landed in Crested Butte in the early 90’s and spent three years here living the mountain life at the Irwin Lodge: hiking, skiing and riding a snowmobile to town. Those were the days!

I went on to work as an escrow officer closing both residential and commercial real estate transactions for 9 years in Denver and San Francisco. I was fortunate to raise both of my beautiful children in the Lake Tahoe, CA area but always had a desire to move back to Crested Butte. Life presented the opportunity last year and I am so happy to call this magical little town my home again.
